USS Constitution
The world's oldest commissioned warship still afloat.

Why it matters
Nicknamed "Old Ironsides" after cannonballs bounced off her hull in the War of 1812.
Visiting USS Constitution
Launched in 1797, the Constitution never lost a battle. Active-duty U.S. Navy sailors still crew her.
Admission to the ship is free; expect a security check. The adjacent museum is well worth a visit.
